Afonso Guest House - Fontainhas

Absolutely beautiful property. Old colonial house with a well-looked after jungle-like front garden und the most beautiful roof-top terrace. The location is just perfect and the owners extremely friendly and helpful!

Such a nice place to stay in the middle of Fontainhas. The room was comfy and sparkly clean, quiet and had everything I needed. The owners and staff are very nice people and I felt welcome here. The little lounge area on the rooftop is a great place to hang out for a while and escape the chaos on the streets. Everything in pretty Fontainhas is easily walkable from here. I can recommend booking a tour with "Make It Happen" to learn about local history.

WiFi was sometimes not working, but not a big issue.

Além disso, o quarto é impecavelmente limpo e confortável, a localização é perfeita e é bastante silencioso. Eles também nos ajudaram organizando táxi para visitarmos a região por um ótimo valor e com um excelente motorista, o Ravi. Eles também falam português e é super especial poder se comunicar com eles na nossa língua. Muita gratidão por tudo.

The hospitality was beautiful! The personal touch to every interaction was so warm and felt so non-transactional. Had lovely conversations with the family, a lot of amazing recommendations, Knowledge about the place around etc. Felt truly at home staying there! Cleanliness was top-notch. Being an old property I was pleasantly surprised how clean and well maintained it was kept. The lush planters at the entrance and terrace create such a cozy vibe. And OMG the location is beyond perfect. Everything culturally relevant was at a walking distance. Because of this stay, I experienced Goa in a very different light. Definitely coming back here :)

It was a pleasure to spend my last 3 nights in India in this lovely guesthouse. Jeanette and Afonso were great, and the staff lovely too. Highly recommended.

Kleine süße Unterkunft im Zentrum von Panajim. Sehr urig und gemütlich mit vielen Pflanzen.Janette ist toll und ich habe mich sehr willkommen gefühlt.

Jeanette and her son were amazing 🤩 So kind, so thoughtful, so Friendly. Jeanette helped us with everything, taxis, info about where to visit, even where to get a fringe cut. It's like being at home. I even got some treats and a cake and coffee when I'd checked out and was invited to stay on the balcony relaxing even after I'd checked out.
