Sunset Guest House & Bar

Wow, wonderful guesthouse and I was so happy to stay here. The family of this guesthouse is very kind and helpful. She was a wonderful cook and we spotted many dolphins together. Also, the sorkeling trips to see the turtles nearby were great and beautifulcoral and fish. And they helped me also with booking a taxi to my next destination in Sulawesi and from there to Manado again. Definitely recommend staying here, I would love to stay here again on my next journey to Manado.

Beachfront location, close to dive shops. Food was varied and accommodated vegan and vegetariansa. Friendly owners

Perfect location, very good food (also for vegetarian!) and very nice and helpful family! They helped us planning our trip by organizing drivers even after our stay there. Fair prize for activities like snorkeling and dolphin watching.

Incredible friendly hosts who did everything to make my stay amazing & memorable. Fantastic meals, constantly delicious & huge amounts of yummy food. Local fish, vegetables, chicken etc & vegetarian options available. Room was so comfortable with an amazingly comfortable bed & with a great mosquito net. Lovely view from the common area of beach with lovely free coffee, tea & water bottle filling station. Even if you choose not to stay here, you really should eat here, give hosts a day notice & you’ll definitely not regret it, authentic homestay food & kindness ere. Not many rooms available so definitely book asap, it’s incredible & you won’t regret it.

It’s a local small village so rosters will definitely wake you in mornings. Bring earplugs

The food was excellent, the owner and his wife were really nice and accommodating (allowed us to check out later, organised a day trip for us, organised transport back to Manado), really enjoyed the common table where you can socialise during lunch and dinner

Helmi and Yoke are very nice and helpful. The food is amazing. Travellers from other homestays even came to Sunset to have lunch or dinner as they heard the food there is very tasty. We stayed for 4 days and always had a lot of variety for each meal, and never had the same dish twice. It was impressive. Yoke also caters to each traveller's diet restrictions ☺️ Helmi helps you to organize anything you might need (transfer from Manado airport, snorkeling, dolphin tour, snorkeling equipment and motorbikes rental, etc.). The homestay is very clean and everyone is friendly.

The food was amazing and the best we had so far on Sulawesi! The guesthouse is perfectly located, the family/owners super helpful and kind and the overall value for money is great. Would recommend everyone staying here!

We had an amazing 4 days stay there. First of all the guesthouse is super well located just next to the beach where the public ferry drops you. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but have everything you need as you are anyway often outside exploring Bunaken. Most of all, the food was purely amazing, everyday different, refined in taste and generous in quantity. I wish we could stay more !
