Surf Retreat Villa Sari Bali

Location was good and they had passionfruit growing in the reception. We stayed in the "private" 2br villa which was spacious for a group of people but lacked any privacy.

The private villa had no separate bedrooms and a mezzanine bed which was very hot (even in August). The villa is more a large hall/room for a single family than a group of friends. The pool was meant to be private for the villa but was used by every guest staying in the other rooms and so there is no point in paying any premium for the private pool or villa. Best to just get rooms.

Low price, good position: nice walk through rice fields to reach a nice empty beach break. Possible to walk to Medewi Point.

Every morning at 5 o'clock the nearby mosques start blasting prayers. Impossible to sleep through it. Rooms are basically empty (no wardrobe...) and old: we could hear thermites eating away the bed and door frames. Staff will not clean the room unless asked to. Quite far from all other spots (without a motorbike you are in for an hard time)

I was offered a refund due to the photographs showing that the accommodation had its own private villa and pool. The location of the villa is over 2.5 hours from Kuta. There is zero near restaurants, cafes. The ocean is not great for surfers, and the locals were having a huge fight when I walked there. There was a huge concert that was going on when I arrived next door. It was so loud; I could feel the speakers vibration in my room.

Once we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and kindness from our weary journey. Keys in hand, we entered our oasis of homey aromas and comfort to warm the souls of a thousand men. Awoken from the warm bosom of our upmost nestlings of beds, we arose to the most of charming of gentlemen’s catering to our every need; conversation, atmosphere and providing sustenance for our day - home grown passion fruit.throughout the day we explored the local area - knowledge and recommendations kindly provided by our hosts. Once returning, we immersed ourselves in the silk of aqua - commonly referred to as a swimming pool. Apron which we lazied in the basking sun. We indulged our selves not one but TWO nights! We have not - repeat NOT encountered service and facilities alike in comparison to our multiple ‘5 star’ accommodations. In conclusion, we state this claim upon our name - Villa Sari is thee best finest accomodation west of BALI!
