Amazing people amazing cat amazing food

The inn is located in a scenic and charming mountain town. The view from the room is incredible. The owners of the inn are very kind and it was an amazing experience to stay at Oyado Yaokyu.

There are two flights of narrow stairs leading to the room. Folks traveling with suitcases should be aware.

The room smells lovely of cypress. Kawaii cats and friendly host. Awesome view of river and mountain to wake up to and sound of the river to fall asleep to. Comfortable clean spaces. ♡

Some bugs flying around in the room but that is to be expected being so close to nature :)

The staff were very kind and helpful, the riverside location was absolutely stunning-- it was great to see the herons fly about during the day and we were able to fall asleep to the sound of running water--The 1000 yen breakfast was delicious, and the location is very close to the train station.

The air conditioner and electric fan were pretty dusty.

The hosts were absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. Beautiful room and view. Best place we stayed at in Japan.

Fantastic location, welcoming hosts and a delicious homemade breakfast. Beautiful path by the river for strolls in nature.

The room wasn't soundproof and I could hear the conversation of the guests in the next room to me, very loudly, even with ear plugs. The bathroom had a strong smell of black mold.

Property is well maintained and clean. Cozy and easy to navigate as well. Really close to the station and next to river. You can see the river and hear the sounds of it. Surroundings are beautiful.
