We stayed in the Room Under Thatch - there was a gap between wall and ceiling on the wall separating room and bathroom…resulting in a bit of a lack of privacy! We only spent one night here but compared to other places we stayed (with breakfast included) I wasn’t sure about the value for money.
ZABreakfast was not included. It was very beautiful and serene. Quiet and relaxing. Very pretty venue with extras like bubblebath and sherry.

ZACottage pie is a delicious delight of a stay! Nestled right outside of Clarins village, you have peace & quiet & are amongst nature… I absolutely loved the large yard for my pup & everything is beautifully appointed in the chalet.. Very quaint, cozy & secure!
The owner was in a bit of a hurry, so I would have enjoyed a little bit more of her time & a warmer welcome, but I realized she had an appointment she had to attend to… Otherwise she was very helpful on what to see & where to dine! She gave an excellent recommendation for dinner at Clementines! Best pasta I have had yet in South Africa!

ZAZAZAthe thoughtful attention to detail that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The space was well-prepared for the cold Clarens weather, with an electric blanket, multiple heaters, and even a hot water bottle—all of which helped keep us warm and cozy. These small touches showed genuine care and made a big difference in our overall experience.
