The Point Mirissa

Great location right next to Mirissa point, perfect if you want a cruisy wave on your doorstep. They offer convenient, cheap board hire. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The bed was large and comfortable, and the room was spacious. Room had AC and a fan, with a mosquito net which was very needed! Space for drying swim/surf bits outside. Location was excellent, right by the beach and an easy walk into town - but far enough away that it was quiet a night.

Wi-fi was non existent, and although the breakfast was large, it was pretty poor and wasn't varied throughout our stay there. No hot water from the shower.

The room is very good and the owner managed me the whalewatching with better price, and I could see wild Whales. The owner and the family are súper Nice. Very thankful for all.

1. Wi-Fi does not work. It only works if you sit by the entrance. Not ideal for digital nomads. 2. No hot water. I paid half the price at other guesthouses, and had hot water. 3. There is a bar nearby that blasts music until 4am. Not the guesthouse’s fault, but not ideal if you want to sleep. 4. If you leave the window open in the bathroom, little bugs come in. We had over 20 in our bed. Once we closed the window, it was no longer a problem…but then the bathroom smelled from all the moisture.

Our stay at The Point Mirissa was truly exceptional, having experienced both the top-floor modern rooms and the original rooms below. The top floor, although pricier, exuded luxury, while the lower floor maintained its charm and excellent value. The location, a mere one-minute walk from Mirissa beach and surrounded by restaurants, is unbeatable. What sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding hospitality of owners Ruwa and his wife. Their attentiveness knows no bounds, as exemplified when they went above and beyond to assist during a health incident. Their quick guidance and connections made a potentially challenging situation effortless. Thanks to Ruwa and his wife for making our stay truly pleasurable

Really comfortable room just a minute away from the beach. The staff was the kindest - highly recommended for a stay in Mirissa away from the crowds!
