Stanton House Annex

One of the best locations in the Peak District area to visit the national park. It is a clean and comfortable place with kind and warm owners.

Andrew come and met us once arrived very polite and helpful. Not to far from the centre of bakewell so easy to get to. Would recommend the place to anyone.

Warm welcome with log burner going when we arrived, made it very cosy. The hosts were friendly but unobtrusive. The house is nicely decorated with lovely views.

Was perfect location for a meeting point and to base our weekend walks

The owners, Andrew and Sarah we're lovely, a very warm welcome by their Daughter, as they weren't initially available ,but we all caught up later. It was awful weather outside, but the heating was on and the log burner made it very cosy, and that was even topped up ,after we had ventured into Bakewell for a restaurant meal,before we arrived back. And they topped it off ,with a great breakfast,which set us all up , before we braved the bad weather again. We would definitely stay again,the host's were great,the location, and the more personal space lounge made it a super weekend away.

Nothing really,apart from the local taxis, don't like doing small runs ,but the bonus is ,the Annex is only 0.9 miles from Bakewell centre!

The bedrooms and bathrooms required a deep clean. Dusty cobwebs so a duster and hoover is required. Slow draining sinks that back up when the tap is run for more than a very short burst. Toilet water rises after a flush suggesting existing blockage. Toilet bowls required bleaching. Sink overflow requires cleaning. Long hairs from previous guests left on shower walls. Duvet/bedding felt unaired and slightly damp.
