"Lovely retreat as an overnight to get to Chatsworth House"

Big rooms, lovely large living room to relax in and the rooms were very big with tv, extra pillows, tea and coffee making facilities and even a hot water bottle!

It was a little cold when we arrived, however this was rectified by the owner. It is a little dated in parts, however that did not spoil our stay.

"Comfortable and spacious"

Perfect for two couples as there are two en-suite spacious and comfortable bedrooms separated by the stairs so affording privacy. The bedrooms offered a kettle, mugs, tea etc and a small refrigerator. Our hosts kindly supplied fresh milk. Downstairs there is a large and comfortable lounge with a large smart TV. WiFi worked well. We did not use the garden but enjoyed the lovely view. We did not have the breakfast as we only usually eat a light breakfast and didn’t want to waste food. Our hosts kindly let us charge our EV overnight using a plug in their garage which was much cheaper and very convenient compared with trying to find an expensive public charger nearby. The house is only 10 minutes walk (on a pavement) from Thornbridge brewery tap room where we spent a fun evening. Overall this stay was perfect for us.

We did miss bedside tables in our room (the other room had them).

Very spacious, clean and homely accommodation within an easy walk of Bakewell. Andrew and Sarah are fabulous hosts and very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here and would return without hesitation.

"We would certainly stay there again if we were visiting the area."

The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of places nearby to get an evening meal and we enjoyed an Indian meal in Bakewell and a pub meal at the Ashford Arms. We were meeting our daughter and the accommodation was perfect for catching up with family as there was a private sitting room. It was very quiet which was much appreciated.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.
