Nilowin Glenanore Guesthouse

Nilowin Glenanore is a beautiful, quiet spot away from the noise of the town. The views of the mountains and tea fields are spectacular, and the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable The family here is wonderful—so helpful and genuine. We absolutely loved the food; every meal was fresh and authentic. Taking the cooking lesson with them was such a fun and unique way to learn about local culture.

The gueathouse is absolutely amazing. The views from our room were panoramic, it felt like floating in the skye. The owner is super friendly, we had some nice falks. He also helped us organise a tour to Liptons Seat as well as recommened a beautiful hike. The restaurant which is also run by the owner seeves delicious dishes and you can take a cooking class if you wish which is absolutely recommended

Personale gentilissimo e disponibile, camera ampia e spaziosa, ben tenuta e pulita. Ottima posizione in mezzo alle colline di the, che permette anche di imboccare i camminamenti a piedi tipici della zona. Cooking class eccezionale, bravissimi nelle spiegazioni e attenti a farti partecipare attivamente a ciascun passaggio, con invio delle ricette in seguito, in modo da poterle riprodurre a casa. Indimenticabile! Grazie di tutto!

Отель находится в прекрасном месте, напротив чайной плантации. Мы прибыли раньше назначенного времени, персонал пошел на встречу и сохранили наши вещи до заселения. Так же пытали помочь найти байк для путешествия. Персонал хороший, отзывчивый. Нам достался боковой номер, стена в ванной была в плесени, подушки так же были в разводах плесени, простыни в желтых разводах. Всю ночь ветер свистел и выл, спать было проблематично. Слышимость в соседних номерах 100%, слышно даже как храпят соседи. В раковине была горячая вода, в душе не было горячей воды, вайфай работал хорошо. Виды на рассвете из номера просто прекрасные, это большой плюс номера. Возможно именно наш номер был таким, судя по отзывам в других номера проводился ремонт. Рекомендую руководству отеля больше заботится о чистоте и отремонтировать боковой номер, чтобы в нем было приятно останавливаться гостям.

Amazing food for dinner and breakfast! Great service and kindness of stuff

This was a proper guesthouse in that we felt extremely welcomed by the family. In addition to the fantastic food (highly recommend taking a cooking class there!) we also got great tips about hikes and activities in the surrounding area. The atmosphere of the little dining area is fantastic, and the rooms were clean and as expected:) the location is in a quiet hillside a bit outside of Haputale, which was great. The hosts will help you arrange anything you might need in terms of transportation etc. Would stay here again!

The location was fantastic - the views from the balcony were exceptional and the setting in the tea plantation on the edge of the nature reserve was very peaceful. We were drawn to the guesthouse for the cooking school and wow it didn’t disappoint. The garden kitchen room where we ate breakfast, dinner and did our cooking school was stylish. Our breakfast was cooked in front of us - a delicious Asian breakfast made to your choice…or toast, eggs etc. The staff were all very friendly and Saman (the host) was very helpful. He gave us super tips for walking, visiting the market in the centre and arranged our tuk tuk trip to Lipton’s tea. We really couldn’t fault anything about our stay and would highly recommend it for a true Sri Lankan experience.
