The Bridge Helmsdale

Het bed was goed. Mooie ruime kamer.

Douchen in een badkuip zonder gordijn of glas. Er is ook geen bar of iets dergelijks waar je iets kunt drinken. Wij hadden voor vier nachten geboekt maar zijn maar twee gebleven. Ook in de omgeving is weinig te doen.

Nice atmosphere - short 5 night stay welcoming host

The room was excellent but no view. Obscured window meant it was not possible to determine weather conditions

Hans is a great host. Lovely room with a huge bathroom.

I stayed for two nights (16-17 June 2026) in Room 14 which was spacious with twin beds, a decent sized bathroom and all the amenities you would expect. The bed was very comfortable and I took advantage of the large bath and had a nice hot soak using the soap provided (there was a hand-held shower attached to the taps which I didn't use). The self-service breakfast was very nice and filling with a large selection of hot food on offer plus cereals, bread/toast and fruit/yoghurts and I was greeted with a choice of a pot of tea or coffee and I opted for the latter. The dining area was clean and spacious. The hotel is very nicely located and is on the same road as the village's two pubs which were both very welcomimg and pleasant ... there is also a Spar shop and a restaurant in the immediate vicinity. There is adequate street parking around the hotel and in an adjacent public car park both of which are free. Hans the proprietor was very friendly and accommodating even when I had to get him out of his room around midnight to let me in through the main door ... the key is kept in a key safe outside but I didn't know the combination which is entirely my fault. All-in-all I had a very pleasant stay in a lovely location. Thank you.

There was really nothing negative that I can think of but I'd just like to make people aware that the room I stayed in was up a couple of flights of stairs which may represent an issue for those with mobility issues.

Centrally located in Helmsdale. A spacious room for two family members. A great breakfast thank you.
