It's difficult to say, everything was amazing, the kindness of the family, the food was delicious, we really felt like if we were part of the family. Bowo was an amazing host, we got to know part of the city because of him and very recommended to book the tours with him.

I loved everything.

This is a family business. The owner was always very communicative and helped us to organize our days out and arrange convenient transportations for the city and region and discover local attractions. The family was always very welcoming and polite. The locations is great to visit the nearby temples and go to the Ramayana ballet. I really enjoyed cycling in the area.

Outstanding and friendly hosts. They will help you and bring you to restaurants. They have decent free bicycles.

Lighting in the room

My mother and I had a great stay at Rumah Desa. Wibowo and Heni are lovely hosts, they took great care of us and were always willing to help! Their house is beautiful, the room is great -  spacious and a very comfortable bed. There was a lovely breakfast every morning and Wibowo arranged a full day tour and the attendance of the beautiful Ramayana ballet for us. Rumah Desa is like a second home - a lot more personal experience than staying at a hotel. The location is also very good, right next to the Prambanan temple in a nice neighbourhood. We hope to return one day!

Highly recommended! I was traveling alone to a new country and Wibowo family treated me like their third daughter. Wibowo is a super professional driver and I would say - a super professional tourist guide. If you want to see hidden places on Java island or to visit very touristic places but to avoid crowds - Wibowo will organize this all for you. He is very flexible, very adventurous, very friendly, always smiling, never tired (can easily drive even 7 hours away to take you to a beautiful place). I stayed at this place just for 2 days but felt like for 2 months - so many bright memories, new impressions and heartbreaking spots! Sometimes we were just driving, saw smth interesting and stopped along the road to make a picture. Or we went to the open market and Wibowo told me the names of all exotic fruit and vegetables and explained how to eat them and it was super useful. Btw breakfasts cooked by his wife were always big and delicious and I always had a few bottles of water and snacks in the car while traveling during a day. My room was cleaned every day. Exceptionally helpful and hospitable people! They just don’t know the word “no”!

It was a fantastic place to stay. I had a great cultural experience and the location is just a stones throw to the Prambanan Temple, Ratu Boko Temple is very close as well and worth visiting. The Homestay was very well maintained and spotless, Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the owner (Henni). Henni and her Daughter (Flower) were extremely friendly and i felt very comfortable in their presence. Henni's home cooked food was very yummy and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The ambience of the place is traditional Javanese. The most heartfelt moment for me there was when Henni and flower surprised me with a Birthday dinner, It was a Nasi Tumpeng. I highly recommend this place for short or a long stay(I stayed for 4 nights) I would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you Henni for being a great host. Regards George Georgios (Australia)

Great location near Prambanan. Good service and communication , large rooms and good value.Additional driving service also very convenient.

Wibowo is a wonderful host. He came to the airport at 7:00 am and he took us to Borobudur temple, batik and silver shop, typical restaurant for lunch, Prambanan Temple and then he suggested to watch the sunset from the splendid Ijo temple.. His wife cooked a typical dinner for us and we slept very well in the room. Very good breakfast too! Thank you very much for this fantastic stay! The homestay is very welcoming
