Marigold Guest House

The host Sonu was extremely passionate about his home city and helpful in directing guests to the places of interest with helpful tips along the way.

Located 2mn walk from the main gath (dashashwamedh), the room was essential, cozy, and clean. Sonu has been a fabulous host, he showed us around the city, explaining history and lore. Answered every question, and he has been a great reference point throughout the whole vacation. We'll come back for sure!!!

Lovely guest house in a superb location within a 1 minute walk to the ghats. Owner couldn’t be more helpful in arranging boat trip, tour guide etc.

We would have preferred a room with a window, but that might be hard to find in Varanasi!

The location close to the Ganges river is the only good thing about this place. The price was good before the stay but still not worth it due to the problems described below.

Two major problems: the owner is extremely rude. He literarelly would not say a single word to us even when we tried to speak to him until it was time to pay on the last day. Very aggressive energy towards my girlfriend when requiring our passports. The second thing is that we got a lot of bites from unidentified bugs in the room and also found strange larvas in the bed throughout our stay.

The location was perfect, very close to the ghaat. The accommodation corresponded to what we expected and the price we paid. The room was very quiet.
