great location, reasonable value for money.

While we were expecting a basic room given the price, I felt it could have been a lot cleaner and it felt quite damp and cold. It was also a lot smaller than stated online. Also had a lot of trouble finding a staff member when we needed something.

This was an incredible stay and MUCH better than we had anticipated based on what was presented on booking.com. We weren’t expecting a toilet in our room which was a massive win. The heating was great and we didn’t even feel the cold at all. The shared bathroom was completely fine, all nights it ended up just being my friend and I in there with no interruptions. The meals they provide are delicious too. But it is in the most primo spot. So close to walk to the slopes and right in amongst the action of restaurants and bars. Highly recommend and if I travel back would stay here without a doubt!

The floor mat isn’t the most comfortable, but it is fine! Some people would be fussy over it.

The location of Lodge Ueno Ski is ideal - convenient for both restaurant and slope access. We were two sharing a room and had ample space, with comfortable tatami mats (which we doubled up) and plenty of room for hanging and airing our skiwear. Each room has its own adjustable heater, so we were able to maintain a lovely temperature plus dry our gloves! Having access to the property's own Onsen (shared bathroom) was heaven-sent , since the neighbouring public Onsen was often busy. The traditional Japanese breakfast was exceptional and the Ueno-Ski staff were extremely accommodating - even created a fusion-Japanese/Western breakfast for us one morning.

Nothing :) Only to note that the walls are thin and neighbours can be heard. Didn't bother us, but we were careful to be quiet.

The guy super chill and fuss free. Charge us at more affordable price for ski rentals and just super nice. It's centrally located between ski slopes and town ! Location really good ! Really relaxing trip I guess. Best of both worlds.

Wish there was a bell or beeper to reach out cause quite hard to find him in the hotel. Wish the toilet isn't a shared one but I'm just not used to it! Bed not very comfortable for my old bones but probably my own issue that I need proper bed instead of tatami. Overall good enough!

Host is lovely, it's close to the ski lifts and all the action in town
