Great value and rooms were simple but very comfortable!

I couldn't get the water in the shower hot enough, but maybe I was doing something wrong.

Friendly and accommodating host and lovely traditional Japanese room.

This is my second times to stay here, The location is very good. You can walk to Nozawa Onsen (Chuo Terminal) in 5 minutes. This is important for people who are carrying large luggage and have to walk from the bus stop to the hotel, because it is not easy to drag luggage in the snow. And Located in the busier area of ​​Nozawa, it is very convenient for dining and many public onsen around. Here is my first option while I stay in Nozawa. The overall price ratio is very high.

Great location: 10 minute walk to the lift, in the center of the village, lots of restaurants around, next to a public onsen. Place was very clean and quiet. Even though the toilets were shared, we barely ran into anyone. Storage for skis in the back. Decent value for the location and during high season. Heater in the room is good, blankets to keep you warm. It's simple but has everything that you need.

Shared shower could be awkward if you're not accustomed to it, I was always alone so it was fine. Staff was not always available at the reception. When they were available, they were very nice. Thin walls, you can hear neighbors - we were fortunate that they weren't very loud but the normal level of noise could wake you up if you're a light sleeper. Overall a pleasant stay though and I would stay again.
