Friendly innkeeper who gave us a much needed lift with our baggage up to the carpark. A balanced location between slopes and heart of town. Clean and comfortable.

Carpark was a good 5mins uphill closer to the gondola. There will be times nobody at front desk or anyway to call for them. Hot water supply gets cut off a night, think ice cold water for washing hands after toilet trip.

"Ueno Ski Lodge is a warm and comfortable traditional Japanese lodge that I highly recommend."

oved Uenoo Ski Lodge and the whole experience of Nozawa Onsen. The traditional room was larger than expected, warm and comfortable. The manager was helpful and friendly. It is a short walk to the ski lifts and into the main street, but separate enough to be quiet. A fabulous stay - thank you!
