The breakfast was excellent

The bed was pretty small for a double, and the sheets were not all cotton so very hot the night we were there, despite having the window open

Very friendly and helpful staff. A pleasant and spacious bedroom, although bathroom was pretty small. The chef was able to offer me a range of options to accommodate my food intolerances, and we both found our meals, in the beautiful dining room, were delicious. One of our drinks was forgotten, but came when requested a second time. Reasonable range of low and zero alcohol drinks. Just a couple of minutes from the motorway, with adequate free parking.

I found the mattress somewhat saggy and uneven, but still slept well. Hotel appeared to be inaccessible and our 2nd floor bedroom was up four flights of steps. A fire false alarm and evacuation after we had gone to sleep wasn't great but we understand it is unusual. It may have been related to the hotel being packed with football fans watching Scotland play in a world cup game.

WiFi a litle weak in the upper part of the building

Tucked away off the main road and close to the motorway. Very friendly staff. Can get dinner at the property

There is no lift and we were on the top floor, that wasn’t a problem for us but could be for someone with a disability

Friendly atmosphere and good environment.

Atmosphere, food and service, you couldn’t fault it.

Our particular bedroom, whilst having a lovely view was a bit tired.
