Fun Family Guest House n Jungle Tour

The hosts family were nice and organized my orangutan tour with Arnold, who was really great Their food was good and it's overlooking the river

The family is very very friendly ans kind. Help with anything! Made me early breakfast so i could catch my bus in the morning and drove me to the village and back to print my flight ticket! Even shared food with me 😊

No toiletpaper for tourists in the bath but took my own :) A bit noisy from the roof and river but totally ok for the price!

Incredible friendly and helpful owners. Initially I planned to stay 2 days only, but ended up staying more than a week. Putra and his wife Maya make you feel like at home and take care of all your needs. Simple but clean rooms with perfect location on the river for a nice view and swim. Jungle Trek was also great with him. Overall good place for the value! Will come again for sure. Thanks agan Putra vor making the stay so pleasant!

I came to Bukit lawang for 4 days but I stayed 3 weeks…Putra, Maya and Fitrya are now a second family for me. They are so kind, generous and always have a smile on their face. And not to mention, cook the tastiest meals (terimakahsi Maya + Fitrya) at a really good price too! Overall, I would recommend to anyone coming to Bukit lawang to stay with this incredibly welcoming family.

We loved the Fun Family Guest house/ homestay. Accommodation is basic and very clean. Putra's family and staff are awesome. Felt like living with a family. We ate most meals with them. The Guided Jungle trekks were out of this world fabulous!! They start an hour before other companies to see more animals. Henry and Putra were fabulous guides with endless knowledge about the forest, animals, insects and environmental local issues. We saw so many apes and monkies that I lost count!! SO many Orangutans! Mother's with Babies multiple times daily. Our trekks ended with beautiful waterfall swims. What a 3 days we had. Highly recommended 👌

The hospitality, Putra and his family were amazing. We did a one day trek with Putra and had an amazing time. We really feel that because he is actually from Bukit Lewang the authenticity of the tour is so much better than with an international company. The tour is challenging but so worth it, and lunch made by Putra’s wife feels like a reward! The tour in itself would get a 10+ for sure! If you are not a big fan of sleeping in the jungle (as we are), the one day tour is also a great option. The accommodation itself is very basic but better than expected for the price. It’s clean, you have your own bathroom and there are no bugs.

As mentioned above it’s very basic, but for this price-range the only thing we could think about to mention is maybe a change of musquito net and 2 towels and 2 blankets instead of 1 each.

I don't even know where to start because the whole stay at Bukit Lawang was absolutely amazing. A very friendly and always smiling family who always helped us with everything. I highly recommend going on an overnight jungle trip with Putra and Dande. We saw a lot of orangutans and other wild animals. Putra and Dande really tried to make us comfortable and see as many animals as possible. The trip was very well organized. A big thanks also goes to the whole team who cooked truly divine meals in the jungle, but also took care of changing the bed linen and preparing the boats for the river crossing. In the jungle, we felt like we were in a five-star hotel. It was certainly not our last trip to Bukit Lawang and we will be very happy to come back again.
