AF Stays - Philadelphia 1210 Mt Vernon St

Extremely loud. Curiously the issue did not come from the city (not too much noise there past 8pm-9pm) but from the other neighbours. I slept well one night out of four, and had to go out to ask to reduce the volume of the TV/music/… at hours up to 3 AM because the soundproofing on the door & the walls of the rooms. To be fair, the overall rudeness of other guests is also at stake: blasting off the TV, partying in the common areas until morning, selling(?) drugs & loudly going up and down the stairs 30 times in the night, etc.

I don’t like hotels’ noisy A/C, so this property’s silence was heavenly. Slept really well.

Nothing

The location was great for what we needed. We were in town for a Dr appt at Penn Medicine and it was nice to find something so close to the office as well as so many of the sights. We didn't do any sight seeing as we have been to Philly many times, but it would be super convenient if you were staying for those reasons as well.

The property has the potential to be a super cute place, but like many Airbnb properties, I found it to be almost sterile. There is minimal decoration and it has less warmth or charm than a hotel. It's nice enough. It was clean. When we had an issue getting into our room, the owner was nice enough when they finally got back to us. It's a business, I get it. Minimalist decor is cheaper and easier to maintain. But there are a ton of properties to choose from in this price range and in my opinion, you want a place to feel warm and comfortable and not like you threw some furniture into an empty rental and listed it. The bathroom fixtures in our room also needed some attention. They had a good deal of rust on them. All in all, it was fine for an overnight trip to visit the Dr. If I was coming for longer or with the whole family, I might search out something else.

We stayed 2 nights in 2 different rooms, they were both spacious with bathrooms inside, the house looked nice, the kitchen could be used. Entering the house and rooms was easy with the codes. The neighborhood was quite and pretty centric.

There's no one in the house if you need assistance. We needed to store our luggage somewhere before changing rooms and it was hard to get a reply. The rooms and bathrooms are not deep cleaned between stays.

Bed was comfortable.

Shower was disgusting and closet had a yellow stains on the floor.
