Arun Sands Rooms

This was our first time in Littlehampton. We were attending a weekend festival, so didn’t have much time to fully appreciate the town. The host was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was in a great location, very close to the beach and all the local amenities. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast and also had a nice lunch at a couple of places recommended by the host, Marina.

The room itself felt a little too small for us, with limited storage for clothes. We ended up living out of our suitcase, which was slightly inconvenient as there wasn’t really anywhere to put it. That said, it wasn’t a big issue on this trip as we were only there briefly in the mornings and late evenings.

Die Lage ist einmalig, die Zimmer haben viel Englischen Charme und Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich! Ihre Tipps mit Lokalen für Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr fein. Littlehampton ist ein kleines aber feines Seebad, welches gerade in einen tollen Park im Strandbereich investiert.

A very good loaction, near to the estuary and the sea. A quiet, peaceful, area. A comfortable room with adequate amenities. A great garden view from the window. Beautiful decor. Very interesting wall art.

When I arrived no-one answered the doorbell, there was a notice on the door stating ' can't answer to the Door at the moment please ring the number'.....the Mobile number they left on the sign wouldn't connect I tried knocking and using doorbell again. I had arrived just after the check in time which was stated as from 3pm This was unacceptable when they know a customer is arriving to not be present to receive and welcome. Very poor customer service. I had travelled from Yorkshire under stressful situation due to a bereavement. I did not need such poor service. I had to make urgent alternative accommodation arrangement elsewhere as I wasn't sure proprietor would return. When managed to get in touch later as a curtesy to tell them why I was cancelling booking I got told a key was in a box outside door....I wasn't told this prior to arriving! When you arrive you expect to be welcomed, eventually when I spoke to her later on the phone the attitude was very poor total lack of customer service.

Lovely location, close to seafront - I’ve stayed before and found it most convenient and quiet. Clean, and Marina is a pleasant owner. Regular trains and buses to elsewhere along the coast- Arundel/ Bognor 25 min, South Downs easy reach. TheGravy Boat nearby recommended.

Beautiful Room with a Balcony from which you can just see the sea. A couple of minutes walk and you are at the most lovely sandy beach. Bed was so comfortable and the host very welcoming. A really peaceful stay for us. So many great places to eat within walking distance. The en-suite shower room was compact but very clean and a great shower with properly hot water. Nice tea making area with some snacks. Having a sofa as well was great as we spent most of one day just lounging about and watching the world go by from the Balcony. Arundel Castle is close by and absolutely fabulous!

Couldn't get a parking space nearby when we arrived but there's a pay and display right across the road so we just went there. Not really a problem but worth mentioning that if you come by car you may need to pay for parking. We managed to move the car on the second day to a space on the street right outside and Littlehampton was so nice we just walked everywhere anyway.

The owner was very welcoming, the room cosy, and the bed very comfortable. Nice biscuits as well as tea and coffee and water. Lots of space for clothes. Great position by the river and seafront.

Nothing really, except perhaps the electric shower, but it worked fine
