Drangar Country Guesthouse

Lovely location and view on the fjord Warm welcome from the couple of guests, Leana made sure we always had every we need with our baby during the stay and gave us lots of advices to see around We were lucky enough to have the common part of the house just for us, much appreciated on a rainy day! The guest house is very modern and clean

Breakfast was great but could be improved with more choices (eg. scramble eggs, croissants or bakeries)

Drangar in Iceland is an absolute hidden gem! The accommodation is located in a breathtaking area, surrounded by untouched nature and spectacular landscapes. The hosts were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our time there was great – perfect tranquility, stunning surroundings and a very special atmosphere in this renovated farm! One important thing to keep in mind: the access road is a gravel road, so plan accordingly the car rental! 😉

Absolutely breathtaking location ! Gorgeous views of the ocean and the mountains. Fantastic accommodations - lovely bedroom, well appointed and well thought out. Really nice public spaces. Good breakfast. Hosts very warm and helpful. The ideal location for photographing the aurora! Mirror like water in foreground, mountains in background, and clear 180 degree view of the sky. Got amazing photos right from their backyard. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at Drangar country guesthouse! The guesthouse is absolutely gorgeous! Having delicious breakfasts with a view of the water was a treat! We loved chatting with Leana and Knútur and learning about the design of the guesthouse and history of the area. The rooms and communal kitchen were so comfortable and beautiful. We even got to see the northern lights right outside our room! We cannot recommend highly enough!!!

Wonderful location in the middle of the epic Icelandic landscape, maybe a bit remote but that's what we were looking for. The room, as the whole guesthouse, was modern, very clean and of high quality architecture. There is even a cooking/dining area for all guests to enjoy. Furthermore the breakfast was great, the hosts were welcoming and (child)friendly. It is a quiet place, perfect to enjoy the scenery and the ever changing weather. Ten out of ten, would come again!

Every thing in this guest house. We love the architecture, warm service from Knutur, breakfast, tranquility and so much more. We'll definitely be coming back to Iceland and stay longer in Drangar.
