Private guest house with veranda without bath and shower - Vacation STAY 47236v

This place is a hidden gem. The owner was super nice. He had food to purchase when almost no one in town had any hot meals to purchase due to slow season. He is at the foot of a temple which you can take a rope car straight up a steep hill or you can climb a thousand stairs (really cool). The hot springs that come out the ground makes beautiful streams with koi fish in some areas. This room felt really secure and quiet although the first floor is a bookstore slash Cafe. My friends were in a nearby hotel and they came to hang out at my hotel/Cafe with me and the hospitality is off the charts. I can go on and on and still not cover half. This is a walking town that you feel really safe in. All the store owners have stories and are so inviting. The onsens were not my thing, but my friends gave them 5 stars I cannot find any negatives. Oh, maybe an extra pillow will be nice, but I never asked because I was so comfortable in every other way. Rent an ebike across from the train to go to the zoo and park. Free battery changes feel like Formula 1 pit stops. Oh, and walk a lot. This place grows on you quick. Hope this helps your Kinosaki trip. City pictures included.

Friendly owner. I suspect maybe more friendly & inclusive with males or perhaps couples from other reviews. The room having a private balcony was wonderful. Bar & hot drinks downstairs. Close to several onsens & shops & restaurants & opposite the ropeway which has fantastic views.Bed & pillows were good too. Access to a kitchen & washing machine downstairs.

Very steep narrow stairs were a bit scary. Noise that carries from downstairs & road outside - definitely need earplugs

Very steep and narrow stairs. No washroom facilities. Door could not be locked Conversation came up from downstairs until midnight. No microwave or toilet in room.

It's a spacious room with a veranda. The staff was very nice. Close to many of the onsens and right next to Onsenji and ropeway. For the price I paid I'm more than happy, that I could enjoy Kinosakionsen on a budget.
