Vibe way (Hostel & Market farm)

Nice and quiet hostel - there is hot water and you can be in the city centre within 15 minutes. But the best thing was the host. He organised tours for us, drove us to the train station and even prepared a packed lunch for us on our departure day. We can highly recommend the hostel. It's a great choice if you are seeking a peaceful and quiet hostel.

It was a bit cold in the room. Even though there had warm duvets, we were freezing.

The hostel is a way from the city which may not be ideal for some but it was perfect for me. You are completely surrounded by nature and I saw different wildlife. There were also a lot of birds. The 4 room dorm had a great vibe. You can have breakfast on request. There are different room rates available. You can order food to be delivered to this place using pick me.

Guests are not permitted to use the kitchen appliances, not even the fridge. The owner (whilst being very nice and extremely knowledgeable about a whole range of topics) is a little 'ocd' so it sometimes felt like living at home with mum and dad watching over your shoulder. I stayed for a few nights and we got along well (I am also like this at home 😅)

Very nice hostel in a quiet part of town. The rooms were comfy and the common bathroom very clean. They have good common areas inside and outside. The host was welcoming and could help you organize attractions if you wanted to. We did an excursion to horton plains national park and a tea tour, which we would both recommend.

I booked this place because it had really good reviews but I was underwhelmed. The room was kind of just gross… and for the price I don’t think it was worth it. I’ve stayed in other places in Sri Lanka for 1/3rd of the price that were cleaner. It just felt damp, and not clean. I was pretty disappointed considering the steep price.

Accomodation is nice, there is a small terrasse with hammock. There are 6 beds in the dorm, but our host kept it at 4pax, so as it could be more confortable ar that time. Our host gave very efficiently any relevant détails & services to.organize our trip to Horton plains, Adam's peak etc..

Small detail : there is no personal socket in the dorm, just a power strip. Also, we could feel our host was a bit tensed during this stay, (maybe because he felt under pressure being alone managing the guesthouse at that time) : just let go !

It's location is perfect, for some minutes walk from the center, in a calm and nice area. The staff is very helpful, you can sign up for trips by them to visit nearby attractions. The hostel is super clean and nicely maintained, there is a lovely living room, and hot water to shower. I felt so comfortable there that I extended my stay. :-)

Amazing hostel, great people and the location is ideal, just a short walk from the centre. The host works so hard and is always busy making sure everything is running smoothly. He explains everything there is to see very clearly form the beginning, he’s straightforward and prevents any planning stress, with one WhatsApp he has a Tuktuk for you! Highly recommended!

It felt like a home away from home. Very comfortable house and spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly and helpful giving restaurant recommendations and things to do.
