Plantation Inn

The hosts at this property are amazing. They are very kind, trusting and helpful. I would recommend staying here due to the friendliness of the hosts and great value for money.

Quiet location, nice and bright place. Great kitchen. We cooked most days, and found it easy enough to walk into town/the main beach area (although the main road is busy). Friendly, helpful owners.

Mattress was a little bumpy and the dog would bark when someone arrived at the gate.

My stay at plantation inn was just lovely, it isn’t directly in the middle of all the Weligama chaos which is really nice, very quiet.

Ground floor room was very dark, but I asked if I could move upstairs which had a lot more natural light in the room!

A great location, the Plantation Inn is tucked away amongst a quiet village street. Town is a 10-20 minute walk or a few minutes scooter ride along the waters edge to town. You’ll find fresh fish, coconuts,and fruit stalls as you go along Weligama By Pass rd. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed with warm smiles. Situ Jayasena, and their family are lovely people. They looked after us giving us a spare helmet for our scooter, and helped me find a doctor. The place feels private and secure and is in a nice neighbourhood. The top floor, soon to be completed, has great ocean views.

Amazing hosts! I spent here over a month and it’s been really nice. The location is perfect in a quite area, but close to the main road. Rooms are clean, and you have access to the kitchen. Hots are the most friendly and helpful people, really enjoyed staying here ☺️

.After confirming my booking, I proceeded to check in, only to be informed by the hotel staff that they only accommodate foreigners, not locals. I've reported this issue to both booking.com and the tourism board, and I'm currently awaiting their response.ny entire trip was ruined by this hotel. If they have such policies they should inform this at point of booking ( which I have done 4 days in advance) and informing at the check in is very unprofessional, zero hospitality and very racist.

Our stay was fantastic. The room was spacious, with a huge bed and a nice seating area outside. The shared kitchen was great. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming. They went out of their way to help me get back some items I had left behind. Really appreciate it! Will definitely be back.
