BEACH LIFE UPPUVELI

The owner Sanju is a wonderful man and very helpful. The location is fabulous, with only a few steps to the most beautiful beach in the world!. There is a lovely Hindu temple beside the hotel and many great food choices up the road. LA Bashi was an excellent restaurant 👌 please feed the dogs

Unfortunately no WIFI on the top floor.

The host was very friendly and helped us out with recommendations. The bed was really comfy and we slept wonderfully!

As the room had just been built it lacked furniture. It would be nice to have a smaller less intense light (like a bedside lamp) as the only option for lighting was only very bright lights. I would really discourage anyone from going “whale watching” in Trincomalee- the host organised a trip for us but unfortunately it wasn’t whale watching it was dolphin chasing. I had a headache after just a short time because of the amount of boats and the smell of petrol too.

Apart from it being just two minutes away from the Uppuveli beach, the owner and staff went out of the way to give us the most comfortable and a seamless stay possible. Apart from guiding us to explore around, they also helped us with our next destination Sigiriya, where we also had a great stay. Would recommend Beach Uppuveli as the prime location for a great time at Trincomalee.
