Room was good, location close to the sea, organised a scooter for us.

Water pump was a little noisy in night, but talking with the manager sorted this. Building extension work on the property is currently happening, but was paused during stay.

Currently under construction, the premises are dirty and the service is lacking. For food options, go to the main road. There are plenty of excellent choices at a much more competitive price than at the guest house. You'll pay way less.

"Great family stay in Trinco"

10.0

The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you have a nice stay! A short walk away from the beachfront and close to their restaurant. The rooms are basic and functional but with a location so close to the beach it is a great value for the price!

Friendly host, helped me get food delivered when I arrived late. Was flexible and communicative with the duration of my stay. Close proximity to Trinco beach and main road to get busses to Nilaveli. Comfortable bed.

Although the bedroom was fine, the bathroom shower needed fixing and bathroom hadn’t been cleaned from the last guest - not dirty but little things like old shampoo and soap wrappers left etc. The beach itself needs a really good clean, lots of plastic. It was very dark walking back to the property so not the most comfortable being solo, a few over-protective dogs too. However I think the owner is renovating so some of these issues are likely to be improved!

Good facilities for a very low price. Wifi working nice, hot water too. The staff is really very friendly and helpful. They also own a restaurant in the area which I totally recommend. They offer tuktuk service, too, at very good prices. The property is 3 min walk to the sea.

"Beautiful stay in Uppuveli beach"

9.0

Spacious, quiet and clean room, comfy big bed for a fair price, close to the beach, and near a beautiful Hindu temple. Very nice welcome from Bashi who was managing the place, very helpful and nice guy, He owns the restaurant LaBashi just near, so very easy for breakfast, lunch or dinner, fantastic food on a nice rooftop. Good tuktuk service also. Thank you so much 🙏

Don’t stay here! The owner is very dishonest. When we arrived, he had overbooked us. He said he will bring us for 1 night to a different hotel that was much more expensive. Het said $60. It turned out it only cost $35 per night not $60 and it wasn’t great. He asked to see my phone to check if we booked air-condition room. This was a lie. Instead, he took my booking pin and used it to reduce my stay to 1 night instead of 7 nights, so he did not have to pay the commission to booking.com. With my pin, he did this out of my name which just doesn’t feel right. It is identity fraud (maybe in a mild form, but still). When we paid, he had to convert the amount to SRL, he did so from EUR instead of USD. Luckily, we already converted ourselves and knew what we had to pay, otherwise we would have paid too much. This may have been a mistake with someone else, but with the lies and deceptions from this guy earlier, we are sure he tried to make us pay too much on purpose. Other reasons not to stay: - He lies to people there is no ATM around and offers to bring them to the city with a tuktuk for money. The ATM is actually on the mean street only a 10-minute walk. - The pictures of the beach are from a restaurant about 1,5 km away. Another deception. - The Wi-Fi does not work most of the time. Somehow neither does your internet from your phone sim card. - There is mold in the walls and ceilings. - There is a temple close by with very loud music very early in the morning. From the moment we walked in the guy felt fake. He gets to close, laughs to loud at, repeats weird things like he told us 3 times in 10 minutes how good of a businessman he is. If by this he means dishonest, I agree. There are so many kind people in Sri Lanka, please choose another accommodation to support honest locals instead of this scam artist a.k.a. “businessman”.
