City's Heart Guesthouse

We stayed for two nights. Comfortable bed. Cute little kitchen with a fridge, microwave, table and two stools, big windows. Great location downtown, short walk to the waterfront, grocery store, restaurants and the main square. Parking could be an issue. We lucked out getting a spot on the same street and just left it there preferring to walk around. Host was nice.

A localização era ótima, mesmo no centro da cidade, o que facilitou bastante os nossos passeios pela ilha. Era muito fácil estacionar o carro à noite. O alojamento foi um bom ponto de partida para explorar São Miguel.

It was a very comfortable and cozy stay. It feels like you're being invited into a family home and I felt very cozy and happy to get in bed every night to read a bit before going to sleep. The staff is very kind and asked how I was finding everything during my stay. They provided more than enough amenities for me. Plates, cups, utensils, condiments, and even salad seasonings (olive oil and vinegar) were provided in my room in case I brought anything to eat. Towels were also provided, and the bathroom was supplied with shampoo and shower gel in case I didn't bring any with me. The bathroom was also stocked with Q-tips, tampons, and some other hygiene products in case I needed them. The room is also provided with a binder/folder giving suggestions and tips to enjoy São Miguel, including restaurant and shopping suggestions, as well as resources for other things you may need such as contacts for local taxi services, nearby grocery stores, laundry services, etc. The location was excellent, only a 2 minute walk from the seaside/marina and a 5-10 minute walk from Ponta Delgada's historic center. It was a very lovely stay - absolutely great value for money for a short trip to São Miguel

There isn't much to not like. It provides everything as advertised with lovely and kind service. It's not a hotel - it's a local accommodation more like an AirBnb, so don't expect hotel catered service during your stay such as room service.

The guesthouse was simple "no frills", traditionally characterful, and comfortable situated conveniently centrally within Ponta Delaga. The owners made you feel welcome and assisted with providing advice and helping you in making arrangements.

The room was not cleaned once during the 5 days of stay

Alfonso è un ospite delizioso, disponibile per le necessità usuali e particolari, pronto a dare consigli utilissimi per reperire esercizi commerciali e ristoranti adatti a tutti i desideri. La zona è fantastica, a due passi dal centro di Ponta Delgada e alla marina. L'appartamento è una camera con bagno e cucinino annesso, con microonde, condimenti e stoviglie. Pulito e comodo, non è presente aria condizionata ma un deumidificatore, che comunque non è stato necessario utilizzare.

Abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà col wi-fi, ma non abbiamo chiesto perchè non ci sarebbe servito. Le vie vicine sono un poco strette per cui può essere difficile fare manovra per parcheggiare se si ha una macchina grossa.
