River Retreat Sigiriya

This was a great location with an amazing host. Nice clean and comfortable for our short stay. The host gave us a lot of local recommendations and took the time out of her day to ensure we were comfortable on our stay.

A little difficult to get to because the google maps destination was in the wrong location but the host was very accommodating and helped us figure it out

The host is amazing. So kind and wellwilling. At arrival a kind explaination. Helps with further travel planns. Even guids a ecological elephant safari. A woman with an golden heart

Although you had to access these lovely rooms via a small path through various relatives gardens, they were in a lovely spot at the side of the river away from the streets, hustle and bustle. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and lots of great local information. The rooms were large and clean.

The lady, Madu was very welcoming and gave us lots of good information. The rooms were very big, the beds were comfortable - the sheets crisp, clean cotton 😁 Although the rooms are accessed through her family's garden - the spot by the river was lovely. We woke up to the jungle sounds just lovely. Very central to all in Sigiriya. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Great place. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Location from lion rock and market, greenery and excellent price.

I liked everything, just have to be careful regarding wild insects since it's all greenery and river nearby .

The comfortable beds. The room is spacious. Close to sigirya rock, also close to local bus station. Quiet place. Only you hear peacock sound and monkeys jumping on the roof, but it feels all natural staying in the forest vibe.

They should include as welcoming tea or drink to their guests.
