50 CHURCH STREET - GALLE FORT

Warm welcome. Great position and a stunning house. A truly lovely space. We were the only guests for two nights so had the place to ourselves . We absolutely appreciated the quiet and space. Happy not to have staff on site and no issues for us. Having access to a kettle and fridge was ideal for us.

A bit dusty under the bed.

Excellent location right in the middle of galle Fort but still really quiet because the bedrooms are set back. Beautiful old stone house and very clean. Huge comfy bed.

Great location and authentic interior and furnishings. Staff were efficient and helpful.

We stayed in the adjacent apartment which I wasn’t expecting. Bedroom is in a loft with very steep staircase and the bathroom needs some love. Looking very tired. I suspect the main accommodation at 50 Church St is in better condition. Mattress and pillows weren’t particularly comfortable but it was still a great affordable option for Galle Fort.

Beautiful interior and amazing location and very helpful person on premises.

They should provide a bit of a heavier blanket, the light sheet provides is not cozy enough.

Very centrally located in Galle, it’s a large old colonial house that we had basically to ourselves.

The constant noise. The staff of the property were talking with a family who lives behind the property every day we were there, it seemed like the family were connected with the owners of the property but I’m not 100% sure. At night that family were outrageously loud, children and adults screaming for literal hours. They were also drilling, hammering, sawing and making a range of other construction noises until midnight every night we were there. They were literally hammering on our front door until 11pm on a Saturday night. Had some issues with wifi and our toilet which the staff quickly responded to and helped us with, though toilet issue reoccurred. Far too expensive for what we received

Loved the interior, so aesthetic and neat. It was very clean, which was amazing and beds super comfortable. Such a great location, all restaurants were 5-10 mins walk away. This was my second time there, since I loved it so much. Everything was exceptional.
