Maison Fortaleza

Very nice place to stay, very close to everything and clean and nice room. We had som great talks with Itala and felt very welcome!

Lovely spacious room, great location just a short walk from the main plaza. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby too. Really great views over Cusco. Super friendly owner :) Free filtered water, tea & cocoa leaves available all day.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in Cusco bei einer wunderbaren Gastgeberin. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut umsorgt und wurden in allem super beraten. Wir haben in den schönen Betten sehr gut schlafen können.

Our room, #7, was lovely, with high ceilings and a beautiful view. There was a bit of noise from the street but it didn’t bother us. The shower was hot and the room was warm on chilly evenings. We paid extra for breakfast which was delicious and filling. Itala was very helpful in arranging taxis for us and offering advice on hikes. The location was convenient, on a lovely side street. We spent a week at Maison Forteleza and were very comfortable.

It was not clear from the Booking.com site that they prefer cash for payment. Make sure to bring cash! It would also be good to request a receipt for payment. We failed to do this and it resulted in confusion later for our hosts about what we had already paid for. It’s important to know that the hotel is at the top of a hill which might be a problem for some people.

Very well taken care of place with beautiful rooms and an incredible view of the city. At first I thought it might be too far from things but it’s actually no more than a 5-7 minute walk to the main square. The woman who was working there was so nice and we had a nice time chatting with her a few times and she had great food recommendations.

I would have loved a hair dryer to use since nights and mornings are cold. A little sunny in the early mornings.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Had hot water, heating and good wifi.

The location is at the top of a hill. It was quiet a climb to get back everytime i walked to the market and plaza. If you have a lot of luggage you have to carry it up to a place where a car can wait/stop because the road is too narrow and steep

Abgereist zu sein!

Das Zimmer hatte eine schreckliche Aussicht, war nicht nur von der Temperatur kalt (Heizung wird nur temporär eingeschaltet) .und ist stark hellhörig. Die ältere Dame die das Hotel "leitet" spricht null Englisch, ist sichtlich überfordert und auch wenig empatisch! Das Frühstück war wie der ganze Aufenthalt, lieblos überteuert und kalt ! Zimmer wurde trotz bitte in 5 Tage nicht gereinigt! Auf die Kreditkarten- Zahlung werden, obwohl in Dollar auch noch 5 % zusätzlich auf das eh schon überteuerte Zimmer berechnet! Ich frage mich wirklich wie das Hotel hier so eine gute Bewertung hat!? Es war eine Katastrophe...
