Maison Fortaleza

We had a great stay here and stayed for around 10 nights all in all. We felt very comfortable here, always happy to return, it was secure and homely. It has 24hr hot water, the heating comes on in the evening, a draft excluder for the door and warm bedding so we were never cold or uncomfortable (which is the main complaint for accommodation in Cusco) We stayed in a budget double room- the window wasn't external which usually bothers me but here it wasn't a problem as the big window opened onto a corridor which was fully made of windows and looked onto the inner courtyard- this probably also added to the warmth and it was nice and quiet. It is up a big hill but overall a good location- in the historic centre and close to good food options, cafes, plazas etc. There is a communal hot water dispenser for drinks which was appreciated. Our favourite thing about here was our host Mimi- she is so warm, kind, friendly, helpful and always likes a nice conversation with you. It makes a big difference to feel welcome when you are a long way from home. Thank you so much Mimi we really appreciate it! If we come back to Cusco we would be happy to stay here again

בעלת המלון הייתה מקסימה עזרה לנו בכל מה שהיינו צריכים, חגגנו ביחד איתה את הירח דבש, היא הביאה פיסקו סאוור וקישטה את החדר בזר מהמם. מקום סופר ביתי ומקסים!

At the top of a quiet hill and worth the walk up the hill. The host is very kind and helpful. Id stay here again!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen, charmanten Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet und bieten alles, was man braucht. Die Lage ist ideal - Plaza des Armas, Sacsayhuaman, San Blas sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Gastgeberin Mimi: unglaublich lieb, unkompliziert, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt perfekt zu machen. Das Frühstück war köstlich und liebevoll für uns zubereitet. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können es absolut empfehlen.

Very steep hill to get there! Though there was a road for a taxi to park nearby.
