Absolutely everything was perfect! The property is stunningly beautiful, the breakfast was incredible, the bed was honestly the best hotel bed we had anywhere in Sri Lanka, the room was spacious with excellent fan and AC, great water pressure in the shower, but the staff are the the true highlight. Everyone we met was so incredibly kind and hospitable - Buddika, Nilanka, and the younger gents whose names I should have asked but didn’t. They even upgraded our room free of charge as the hotel was quiet when we stayed. Overall I could not recommend this property highly enough, it was by far our favourite hotel anywhere in Sri Lanka. 10/10, just book it!

Villa Rosa is an exceptional boutique hotel. We stayed in the main building (honeymoon suite) and couldn’t have imagined a better stay. The staff were so attentive, kind and genuine, we felt very well looked after. The hotel also looks after two well behaved dogs (who are not the dogs you might occasionally hear barking at night). The breakfast was delicious, and dinner was very tasty. We would highly recommend setting aside an afternoon or morning to relax at the hotel as this place deserves to be enjoyed. It is quiet and away from the bustling city of Kandy - it’s up a steep hill and also means it’s not walkable distance. This wasn’t an issue at all for us and hotel has a complementary tuktuk service to the city, which we appreciated. Overall, a perfect stay, highly recommend!

La vue de l'hotel est exceptionnelle. Le quartier est très très calme Piscine et terrasse avec cette magnifique vue La chambre était magnifique, très vaste, lit à baldaquin, grande terrasse avec aucun vis-à-vis équipée avec une baignoire, une table des fauteuils et un rebord pour grignoter ou prendre un verre

Un peu éloigné du centre de Kandy, obligation de prendre un tuk tuk. L'accès est assez pentu mais cela ne pose pas plus de souci que cela

Nous avons passé un très agréable moment dans cette magnifique maison au style colonial. Son charme est indéniable, avec ses meubles antiques et son jardin soigné. On voit que chaque détail a été choisi avec soin. Nous avons logé dans la grande suite avec baignoire sur la terrasse. Une expérience originale et un enchantement pour les yeux. La nourriture était très bonne.

Nous avons trouvé les tarifs un peu surfaits. Le sandwich est quasiment le même prix qu’en Europe. Vu son tarif, les prestations dans la suite devraient être améliorées (un verre à dent (!) et des espaces de rangement dans la salle de bain, un frigo avec de l’eau fraîche, une attention de bienvenue, …). L’accès est effectivement un peu difficile.

Lovely colonial home turned into a luxury hotel. Meals were delicious, the room was very well-appointed, comfy and had fine views and great morning birdsong. Staff were excellent - thank you Nilanka for the excellent tour of the bustling market while you shopped for our dinner.

Sehr schönes Kolonialhaushaus. Wir waren im Nebengebäude. Unangenehmer Geruch im Badezimmer. Ausstattung ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück und Nachtessen gut.

Sehr abgelegen, Anfahrt nicht ganz einfach. Bellende Hunde in der Nacht (dies ist übrigens in ganz Sri Lanka ein Problem).
