Excellent breakfast. Convenient location. Friendly, helpful host. Not all rooms have windows but there is one very big room (apartment size) with large windows.

We (two women) were advised not to go out in the neighborhood after dark. Many warnings about theft in the old city. We used Uber a lot to get around.

Had a wonderful stay! Very charming, historic super clean guesthouse. Location is excellent, steps away from all the major old town sites on a pretty quiet street. The owners/staff were very welcoming and kind (and very patient with my minimal Spanish). Breakfast was absolutely delicious. My room was massive, really more of an apartment with a full kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms. They were kind enough to accommodate a very late arrival (and a last minute change to my serration, my flight was cancelled and got in a day later, and they kindly accommodated the change). They also let me store my luggage there after checkout while I explored Quito. I had no problems with the hot water (just turn the knob slowly, and it’s fine). Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

The location was excellent, on a safe , quiet street a few minutes walk from the Centro Historico. Our room overlooking the mountains was huge, with a separate living and dining room and kitchen. The breakfasts were great and included typical Ecuadorian foods.

The bathroom needed some TLC but was adequate

We had a delightful apartment in this 300 year old home . Creaky wooden floors and antique furniture , but what a view of Quito . Daily light breakfast with some delicious coffee , just blocks from the historical plaza, and a fun coffee shop just a few doors over. The school next door starts early with the sound of kids playing, but we were awake by 6:30 anyways. There is a tile curved staircase to get to the room if someone couldn't do stairs . There's a trick to having a really hot shower, but we easily figured it out after it was explained to us. The mini kitchen was okay though there's no refrigerator . The double bed was quite comfy with lots of blankets for cool nights. I'd happily stay here again!

I had a delicious breakfast every morning, free because I'm a genius member of Booking.com. Amador, Maricielo, and Edna were very helpful and hospitable. I felt very welcome and comfortable at the guesthouse. My room was very spacious and I had a gorgeous view of the mountains and the Virgen de El Panecillo, which is the tallest aluminum statue in the world and the world's tallest winged representation of the Virgin Mary. I strongly recommend travelers stay in a double room with a mountain view when they stay at this accommodation. It's close to the historic center of Quito. The neighborhood was relatively safe but I wouldn't recommend going out at night. Amador took me to the airport and it cost twenty-five dollars.

The water in the shower and bathroom sink was cold. I had to shave with cold water. The language barrier was very frustrating.

Edna and Amador were so, so kind and they did their utmost to make our stay comfortable. Edna made an Ecuadorian breakfast for us each morning, and it was absolutely delicious! The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to all attractions in the colonial district and their are many places to grab a great, cheap meal nearby. Our room was huge and had a little kitchen to make meals if we chose to do so, and the view was amazing! A heater was provided and much appreciated, as well as some extra blankets on the bed. Many reviews have mentioned the lack of hot water - there's a trick to getting hot water! There is a little on-demand hot water heater on the shower head. You want to turn the tap on counter clockwise just enough until you hear the humming that indicates the water heater is turning on. Then continue turning the tap counter clockwise *in very small increments* until the water is at the desired temperature. If you turn the tap on at full blast right away (like I did at first), the unit will not be able to heat the volume of water that's inside the little water heater! You won't have a huge spray volume, but you will have warm water.

Unfortunately the fridge that was supposed to be in our room was out for repairs during our stay.

We haven’t understood if the neighborhood was safe for the night. By the way, we always had dinner close the guesthouse and we didn’t have any problems.
