Little run down and old, but it is nice for what you paid for it. There was hair on my sheets.

Great breakfast. Lovely building and owners who were helpful and kindly looked after our bags whilst we went to Mindo. A good location close to the old town with some amazing restaurants and cafes within a one minute walk. The first stay was quiet and lovely. The second time we stayed there was a religious ceremony downstairs which was quite loud but I don't think this is the norm. The rooms were very basic but comfortable and good value for money.

The neighborhood is very high theft and harassment, can't go a block away from the hotel before it gets dangerous. I would not return to this area.

The breakfasts were very good and as our stay progressed became more traditional in terms of offerings. Our room had a lovely mountain view and was really an apartment with a few rooms, including a small kitchen area.

The room was supposed to have a fridge, but it did not. It did have a microwave and stove/oven in the kitchen area. We rarely had hot water for our showers. In addition, communication was difficult because we speak little Spanish and the staff spoke little to no English. Communication was problematic and messages weren't always conveyed. Breakfast also starts at 8 am, which is a bit late. The place is very inexpensive; the staff are trying to make a go of it with limited resources.

The resident family was unbelievable friendly and they provided us with lots of services and information from the start. We booked the breakfast option which I would advise to anyone because it was an awesome start into the day. They cooked us freshly made traditional ecuadorian breakfast which was delicious. The acommodation was basic but sufficient. What‘s more impressive is the fact that the residence is also a space for artists which makes the location really artsy and beautiful. There were also pets in the andalusian garden which was beautiful! I would visit the family there anytime again! Thanks!
