Location , and stuff was very helpful and available all the time . the room has high ceilings which I like wifi was good very quiet

Very close to the historic centre, cafes, restaurants, bus station. Also reasonably quiet at night. Good breakfasts and most staff are very helpful and friendly. The house has character and cats.

Very dark room with poor furniture and very dated bedding. Just needs some love and investment and more natural light to make it more appealing to visitors.

This place has personality, history and a certain vibe. The hosts were very nice and sociable, helped us with tour and ride to the airport. It’s right in the heart of Quito and in a safe area. Bonus: great breakfast and good coffee and cocoa

I can’t find anything

The location is amazing, close to the historic center but you don't hear anything of the noise in your room. Everyone is super friendly, sweet and helpful with any requests. It feels more like coming to family. The house is very charming and the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and pretty big. We arrived at 1 in the morning, had it announced before and they were so nice to stay awake and open up for us. I highly recommend staying here.

I wasn't sure what to expect as the reviews were mixed. For me, especially considering the price, it exceeded my expectations. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast really outstanding, the location right next to the tourist zone, my room was massive also. It was also immaculately clean also. The shower was also fine for me. It is true the place is quite old as are the facilities, but this added to the charm for me. It can get incredibly cold inside but many blankets are provided, and there is a window on the ceiling, so light does come in early in the morning, but I was up early anyway, so not a problem for me. The surrounding streets I found very safe as there is a large military and police presence throughout the tourist zone where this is located, but I have heard stories from others about pickpocketing issues - so just be aware of your belongings.

Maybe the window on the ceiling could be covered.

- the room is very cold (but we were warm at night as there were plenty of blankets for sleeping) and the bathroom doesn't have floor to ceiling walls so there's not much privacy for using the toilet -not much atmosphere/hard to meet other travellers
