"The hotel is in a good location. Peace and quiet. If they improve the hot water situation, it will be quite pleasant."

A reasonably comfortable bed. Good location. That's the only reason I gave it a 5 on a scale of 1-10.

Shower. Cold water. It was impossible to adjust the water temperature. We had to wash in cold water.

"Excellent"

The staff who run Micklegate house could not do enough for their guests. From walking me round to the hotel(: key pick up is 1 min around the corner) to coming round with a spare key when needed! A prime location, ideal for accessing Selby.

Nothing. I only got into the building because someone inside opened the door. There were no instructions before my arrival as to where to get the key from. I ended up booking into another place.

Everything from tge tatty sign on the front door to the smell on tge inside. It smelt like a brothel
