Quinta de Santana - Queimadas

Luís was very accommodating and friendly. Uncomplicated at check-in as well as with everything else. No other guests were planned for my overnight stay in the small house in the middle of nature. So I could use everything for myself and sit out the storm comfortably. The owner's property is very large and includes a garden. You should have a look at it, the surrounding nature is cared for with a lot of love. Great location, all activities in Furnas are close by.

The accomendation itself is certainly a bit outdated and not regularly maintained. Little things like poor internet connection and no insect protection are added. But the price-performance ratio is right!

Luis is the best

Kind host with a lot of information and recommendations for the region as well as flexible regarding the accommodation. Calm place in walking distance to restaurants and terra Nostradamus parc.

Great location, large rooms, very clean and pleasant, feels like home. Luis was warm, friendly and welcoming.

The bed was a little narrow.

The location was beautiful and our host was warm friendly and extremely kind. During our stay at Pedro’s do Mar the night before our stay at Quinta de Santana, our daughter became violently I’ll after having eaten at Pedros do Mar’s restaurant. Pedros do Mar was unwilling to let us check out late but our host at Quinta de Santana came to our rescue and allowed us to check in early. We cannot thank him enough for his kindness. This speaks to the personal touch offered by an independently run business vs a corporate run hotel. I also appreciated our hosts ability to speak multiple languages. When my Portuguese failed my I could revert to English or French.

Minor issue. The beds were smaller and less comfortable than what we are used to by North American standards.
