Hakone Villa

Peace and serenity, woke up with cherry blossoms outside the kitchen window and a view of the mountain. Comfy bed without rocks in your pillow:) it feels a little far but host will pickup and drop off when you need it. It's actually a nice walk for a nature lover and really only a bit over a km down into the valley and back up to gora.host cooks breakfast. I came during the week and had the whole place to myself so felt like home:) free wifi. The geo museum on top of the mountain is worth visiting and only 100yen, learn about onsen chemistry and volcanoes and how it's all managed

A little musty as expected from a forest home but with the heat turned it doesn't stay. Bring your translator if you don't speak Japanese host is lovely but doesn't speak other languages. It was too cold to run a bath I think the stone lining cooled the water down too fast for it to work but there are plenty of onsens nearby if you need.

The property was well maintained and had friendly staff. Sawano-san came to get me at the bus stop and made breakfast. I had a fantastic stay and it was definitely worth the price. It is secluded but that’s both good and bad. It’s nice to be far away from everything yet on the other hand the walk to talk is quite far. There are also not many street lamps so keep that in mind. The views amazing were amazing!

Only thing was at the time on site hot spring (onsen) didn’t work. But it could have been fixed.

You get your own big room with a nice view for a very cheap price. On top of that is a nice kitchen and multiple bathrooms. Even though it’s not that easy to get to and away from the house, the host makes up for that by being willing to drive you to and from any bus or train stop nearby, which made it really easy to get around. But not only does the host drive you, he also cooks really good breakfast.

The house was a bit far away from most things, but with the help of the host and a good bus line nearby it was ok.

The host was out of this world, felt welcomed. He picked me up, dropped me off, and he is an absolute chef in the kitchen. Felt welcomed and loved the entire weekend

Some areas could use a little clean, but it's a traditional house with all the trimmings, I still thoroughly enjoyed

We were looking for a japanese style home experience and we got it. Nice location, beautiful surroundings and a super friendly and helpful owner. We didn’t expect any breakfast but he offered scrambled eggs, coffee and toast. It was very tasty. He even gave us a car ride to Gora center.

It could be cleaner. Walls were thin and we heard every word from the other room.
