USI stayed in both a dorm and a private. Showers were good and had hot water, towels provided. Beds were warm. I didn't use much of the kitchen facilities. The location is very ideal and very close to lots pf bars, restaurants, and where many of the buses and colectivos meet. One of the older members of the staff was very helpful with information on how to access some of the trails.
Overall it was a very good stay, but it blows my mind a bit that a hostel which offers tours that leave at 5am doesn't have a quiet period over night. If you are near the stairs or the central ventiliation zone, noise travels pretty cleanly, and it was not uncommon for music to be playing or people to be shouting (typically playing foosball) late at night. If you have trouble sleeping with noise, maybe try to request a room towards the back of the building. 🤷♂️

GBThe breakfast was really good, self cook and lots available. The female staff was also fabulous, she let us in at 5am and found us somewhere to sleep. She also had loads of info for the hikes and tours. The hostal was also really social even though people were getting up early for the hikes so going to bed early.
The beds were very hard and extremely uncomfortable. The bathrooms aren’t cleaned everyday and toilet roll wasn’t replenished.
NLI absolutely LOVED staying at Aldo´s! I was actually at another hostel first and only came there to meet up with some girls I had met earlier. But being there on the roof terrace I instantly felt so at home. There´s a great vibe there, very relaxed and social. And Aldo can take you on the best climbing excursions ever!! You can also book all other excursions through him and he thinks about who to put together in rooms which is so nice. Would love to come back there one day!

AUWe looooooved Aldo's - we ended up staying four more nights than we were supposed to, which, from talking to other travellers, happens a lot with this hostel. You just get stuck! The terrace is amazing, a super friendly and open space for anyone who is travelling alone or in groups to meet other people but it's still a chill vibe, definitely not a party place. Everyone is there to hike :)
The room we were in was quite loud, but we asked to change and they accommodated it no problem. We just got unlucky that our first room was right under the terrace.
