What a pleasure it was to spend an evening talking with Mathan and friends. These are the interactions that you don't get in a hotel. This is what travel is all about. Loved the experience. The ladies in the kitchen/ cleaning were awesome. Wow, what a breakfast.

Bathroom was not 5 star, but neither was the price. We'd stay there again for sure.

Nallur Residence is a spacious and comfortable family home with a semi-luxurious charm. It provides guests with a cozy and welcoming homestay experience. The host, Haran, extends genuine care and kindness, ensuring that every detail is handled. The breakfast served is generous and stands out as the best. Also, Haran offered breakfast food for the children and accommodated their dietary needs, which was peace of mind for our family.

The bathroom may not entirely meet the expected general standards.

Very friendly and helpful host

The property is not in great condition and not very clean

This is a large and comfortable family home, and really feels like a semi-luxurious homestay. The host Haran was very caring and kind, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was extremely generous and the best we had anywhere. They also did our laundry (for a 'tip') and cooked us a lovely seafood dinner one night. Also brought breakfast to the train station as we were leaving early - really amazing service. The room was a great place to chill out in the afternoon heat, with multiple windows overlooking a lovely garden. it's a great neighbourhood to walk around too, to get to know Jaffna.

Bathroom not quite up to general standard.

The location is as central as you would like to be in Jaffna. The facilities are a bit faded but the breakfast spread and the service from the owner Haran and all the other star is on a different level. Myself and my family agree that our stay was 11 out of 10 simply because of how Haran and his Team made us feel. We wish Haran and Team all the very best

May be a few more green areas in the garden so that guests can sit in the garden

Haran the host was the most helpful we have met. He arranged everything from tours, places to visit and where the best food places to eat. When asked about where to eat out on our final night, he decided to cook us a meal and it was delicious. Breakfasts were outstanding each morning with fresh fruit and home cooked Sri Lankan Jaffna tucker.

We had requested a ground floor room but unfortunately, he was fully booked and the ground floor rooms were given to a family group that needed 2 rooms close together. This was a little inconvenience and more than made up for by his helping out on all requests. Only downfall was the lack of hot water because the heating system was being replaced and had not been installed in time for us.

- Best host: Haran is an amazing host making you feel very confortable but also making your life easy and arranging as many things as possible - without being intrusive. After a month in Sri Lanka he was our favourite host. - Amazing breakfast

Staffs so friendly. Value for the money

Owner Haran is an exceptional host and goes out of his way to make sure the guests have a very pleasant stay at his place. Breakfast options are excellent and I really enjoyed the tasty & high quality traditional Jaffna food. Very homely feeling and exceptional hospitality from Haran and his staff. You feel like you're staying at one of your own close relative's home as guest. Great bed & breakfast kind of place near the famous Nallur Temple. You will hear the temple bells as the priests get ready for the daily poojas.
