Happy Home Kohjum

The bungalows are very large and cool, and near some good restaurants. The area is very quiet, so it’s perfect for some time chilling out in Koh Jum. I’d recommend getting a scooter to make the most of the island.

We stayed for 5 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned - it would have been nice to have the bin emptied especially. But still a lovely stay ☺️ It’s also worth guests being aware that most restaurants nearby don’t serve alcohol - not a problem, just worth knowing!

Friendly family. Central location close to restaurants/fruit shops and within walking distance to some nice beaches. Spacious bungalow with good air con, hot water shower, kettle, fridge, and mosquito net.

The main road is nearby and noisy with loud motorbikes from morning to night. Some young, local teenage boys drive dangerously fast with no respect for speed limits. The room definitely isn't soundproofed, so you can also hear neighbours when they're on their balconies and barking dogs at night. Locals frequently light fires to burn vegetation/trash, leaving a trail of polluted air. The WiFi is good but slows down significantly when several of the bungalows are occupied.

In a good location. Hired a moped at a good price from the owners which you needed to explore the island. Also could get owner to run us out in his tuk tuk in the evening if we wanted to drink and arrange him to pick up. Basic bungalow with aircon and fridge, comfortable bed and a hot shower. All that you need when you are out and about all day.

Could have just done with a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries.

Best accom i stayed in when travelling in thailand for 3 weeks (on a budget) . Big spacious room, big fridge with a freezer. Seperate big bathroom with shower cordoned off from toilet. Good AC, wifi, Really clean and comfortable in a beautiful garden. Staff so friendly & relaxed, they have shop at the end of the road. Hired a moped for my entire stay with no fuss. Was meant to stay 2 nights and extended to 5 nights wish i could have stayed longer.

Comfortable bed, clean white linen, amazing air con & warm showers. Good location surrounded by tress and flowers and a little away from the road. It is a short scoot to Ao Si beach and lots of delicious restaurants like Halal Food & Sunshine Bistro. Mini markets at the bottom of the lane with fresh fruit & general supplies. (Cash Only) Lovely cats at the property. Host did his best & the scooter rental was old but super easy to arrange.

Not cleaned during our 4 night stay. There is a brush in the room which was handy for sand. The bathroom could have done with a clean after two days as we noticed a lot of bugs come from the shower unit. It would’ve been nice for bins to be emptied. Couldn’t really sit on our balcony as there was a big fly nest right beside the door. The host came quick to spray the area but this was temporary and they came back. We don’t mind a few bugs about but there was just a lot in those spots! To point out we did notice that the other bungalows looked nicer (ones with sliding glass doors) so maybe we were just unlucky with our bungalow. Also, the mouldy wardrobe should be just taken away as it’s unusable. We had a lovely stay but if these couple of small issues were addressed we would have given a 10.
