DO NOT STAY HERE! Instead of a hotel room, you're actually booking a room in a shared apartment. When you enter, instead of having your own key you enter an apartment with 2 bedrooms. The owner made it really clear in one of his weird and uncomfortable WhatsApp messages that 'he can also come and go'. The key that you get actually also works on the other bedroom, which is very unsafe. Other people can use the common spaces, the common spaces were NOT clean and this is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! We didn't stay here and packed our bags the minute we realized we didn't have any privacy at all. LADIES DON'T STAY HERE! The owner is REALLY creepy, rude and makes you feel very uncomfortable. We made an official complaint of this accommodation, I actually don't know why he hasn't been banned from this platform yet. Just for fun, read one of the other '1 star reviews' from previous renters, it's absolutely horrible.

the wi-fi in our room wasn’t very good

This is an apartment with two separate bedrooms, one of which is occupied by another guest. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s important that this is clearly communicated in advance. The apartment itself is charming, with an older style and a breathtaking view of Mount Etna. There was a slight impression that the room wasn’t entirely clean, though this was likely due to the vintage nature of the apartment and the color of the bed sheets

We had an amazing view of the Etna, waking up with that was energetic. If you are planning to stay only in Catania, the location is good, if you want to travel around, it might be a bit far (20ish min) from the train station. The guy who received us was very nice and helped us with a few stuff.

The building is old and the air doesn't flow properly, so you can find yourself in a quite stuffy ambiance. There is a constant rumbling under the building if you are a light sleeper you might have issues
