Hostal Doña Mercedes

Lovely staff, very helpful with everything and nice. Good breakfast. Walkable distance from everything in the town. The kitchen was good. Nice space outside to sit and relax.

One bathroom for many people, so waiting times were sometimes long. The top bed in the three person dorm was a bit difficult to get into without any ladder.

Room was a bit small once all the bads are in but also fun that there was not so many people. 1 shared bathroom

The hostel serves very delicious breakfast (fried plantanes!) and has a kitchen. The staff is super friendly and open to answer any sort of questions. I wad greeted at the door and always got a smile. Lovely garden area with comfy chairs and a hammock. Board games available as well.

Unfortunately, only one bathroom for the entire hostel but we made it work.

Very kind and helpful staff. Good breakfast on a lovely plant-filled patio. In an excellent location a few blocks from the main square.

Room was very basic, old and a bit worn out.

The staff were so lovely, the property is very cosy and homely and the breakfast was wonderful! The only thing I would say is to add some hooks for towels in the bathroom and in the bedroom :)

It feels like home… Jeanette and her staff were the kindest host ever, so caring and helpful… Breakfast was delicious 😋 and there is hot shower which feels so good ! I booked through the hostel the tour to the 7 waterfall and it was amazing!!! Thanks for your kindness 🙏
