"Amazing food and staff"

The host was incredibly nice and helpful! She arranged Tuk Tuks for us even for sigiriya for a fair price and the food we ate there was amazing!

The fan was not working unfortunately, but we just opened the windows at night and used a mosquito net :)

"Quite family guest house on the lake"

The location is perfect: in a quiet road facing the lake. You may reach the Temple Rock entrance very easily on foot, and buses to Kurenegala, Kandy and Colombo stop right at the crossing with the main road. The city centre is 15 minutes walking and from there you may also catch the bus to Sigiriya, which only costs 100rps. Otherwise, they offer a tuk tuk service for 2500-2200rps, which is a fair price (PickMe price is 2070rps, but doesn’t really work in Dambulla), but during the ride the driver constantly tries to sell you stuff or take you to the Spice Garden which is a well known scam in the area. The breakfast was amazing both for the food and the garden where you take it: you may spot so many different birds whilst sitting there you will be amazed. There is also a beautiful terrace where to sit. Also is a family run guesthouse, which I prefer over big hotels and resorts that are destroying small business. On the main road you have plenty of choices of local restaurants.

It’s quite hard to communicate, although I do understand they do try do make you at ease. The room is a bit dark and might be cleaned better.

"Superb"

The owners are super nice and friendly, it's a family business. The guest house is facing a lake, it's surrounded by nature, there are many birds and no trafic which is perfect ! You can also just walk to the caves temple. Breakfast was homemade and so good! Thank you for everything !
