Pondok IJo Guesthouse

Staff are super great and the beds comfy. The pool is needed for a dip after walking in the heat of Indonesia and seeing the temples. They can arrange car transfers to and from the main temples at a reasonable price, especially if you have a small group.

Nothing, it was perfect

Close to the restaurants. The big room was perfect size, but be aware that the small ones are very small for a couple. Breakfast is good. The staff was very helpfull all the time, the lady even paid us the taxi to go to the train station.

Beds a bit worn out. Muslim prayers/chants very loud at 4h AM but I guess this must be everywhere in town.

Value for money Clean Swimming pool Hosts

The value for money is through the roof! The facilities are a bit outdated but the shower was warm and the pool was very nice. The staff is super kind and helpful. We did a batik workshop which was promoted and it was amazing. We did an early tour and they fixed the breakfast for us. The support was really sublime!

The bathroom could have been cleaner… might I suggest to use anti-calcaire

Set in a lovely garden somewhat off a main road Pondok Ijo Villa feels very intimate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and the pool refreshing. The Sultan's palace can be reached on foot and Jalan Malioboro is minutes away by cab.

Pondok Ijo Villa is simply wonderful. We will certainly stay there next time we will be in Yogyakarta.
