Mahagedara Dickwella

Sehr freundliches Personal. Unser Zimmer war klimatisiert, sehr sauber (das neueste Bad, das wir in Sri Lanka je hatten!) und relativ komfortabel. Das Hotel liegt etwas "versteckt" in einer Seitenstraße - daher schön ruhig, eingebettet in einen kleinen, liebevoll gestalteten Garten mit (lieben) Affen. Frühstück lecker und auch ansonsten hat alles prima gepasst. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Mit dem tuk tuk braucht man etwa 7 Minuten ins "Zentrum" von Hiriketya bzw an den Hiriketya Beach. Zum Dickwella Beach kann man in 10-15 Minuten entspannt laufen :)

Keine Möglichkeit, das Fenster zu öffnen aufgrund der vielen Mücken und fehlendem Mückennetz - dadurch bleibt das Zimmer dauerhaft dunkel. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm, wenn man sich dort nicht viel aufhält.

Good value for money: good location, clean room with hot water, nice breakfast and helpful host on whatsapp. It is just off the main road so you do not hear the traffic at night.

The staff working there spoke little English but honestly, not a problem for me because they were very friendly and helpful. Fyi: no mosquito net.

I loved this beautiful and unique house, right in the middle of a busy Dickwella town, yet hidden away in a garden behind a street gate so it becomes like a quite oasis after chaos of the town. Only minutes walk to one of my favourite beaches, with fishing boats and away from any crowds. If you want to spend time in fun surf beach Hiriketiya, it’s only 15min walk from here. I enjoyed having breakfast in the house with monkeys playing around and sounds of nature. Rooms are comfortable and nice. I would certainly be back!

- leicht abseits von der Hauptstraße und somit ruhiger - sehr bequemes Bett - schönes, großes Outdoor-Bad - gutes Frühstück - viele local Geschäfte und Restaurants fußläifig und sehr günstig

- Zimmertür und offenes Bad direkt beim Frühstücksplatz (aber nur unser Zimmer) - schlechte WLAN Verbindung

The owner is very friendly! The location was nice, might be hard to find the entrance but super close from the beach!

Super fijne locatie, vlakbij Dickwella strand. Al moet je wel stukje lopen richting de gezelligheid op het strand zelf. Lekker ontbijt en super lieve mensen.

Kamer was beetje mager, geen meubels ofzo om je spullen op te zetten. De advertentie klopte ook niet helemaal qua omschrijving. Moeilijk te vinden de eerste keer.
