Pilkingtons Guest House Accrington

My room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm with a good shower (which is so nice after working in the freezing cold all day) A good breakfast bag was provided. It’s in a busy area but I wasn’t bothered by noise at all. There was decent secure parking and the Land Lady was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you

The private bathroom was spacious with a lovely walk-in shower. The bedroom had enough room to walk around and had a kettle, water and a waffle, and a biscuit for breakfast. It is also right next to the train station, which was ideal.

Was paranoid about walking about at night as some of the floorboard made a lot of noise when you'd walk on them. Same issue with the keys, really. I was worried I'd wake up other guests unlocking my door.

I tried to have a shower several times over the two nights I stayed, the water was never warm (I ended up having two very cold showers when it was -7 in Accrington) and the heating was only on in the room for a couple of hours a day. Which is a big problem, one that I would prefer reimbursement for.

Free parking at rear V helpful owner.

Cooking facilities varied between rooms, I was not able to self-cater as I had intended, but the owner switched things round for me.

The Location was Superb :) The host Leon was Lovely too

Shower wasn't piping hot

pretty good location,nice friendly owner,nice room, only downsides are the road traffic is very noisy,and the private bathroom is down the hall,a very good clean bathroom though.

Staff very helpful especially as I missed check in time due to travel problems.

Light breakfast and convenient

Noise from local takeaway delivery drivers until early hrs. WiFi code did not work. Lack of sweeteners for hot drinks.
