Pilkingtons Guest House Accrington

Room was very comfortable, it was warm but not too warm. Landlady really pleasant and helpful, really close to the train station.

Liked the place, it had a private bathroom which was lovely, but it was down the corridor which I was less keen on.

Lovely room

Owner actually gave me her parking place in the back - gated in for security - very impressed. Room was lovely and clean with tea, coffee, biscuits and porridge/waffle for breakfast. Bed was so comfortable, it made me realise I need to buy a new mattress!

REALLY need some USB ports in the room as I went into panic because my phone needed charging and I was relying on it for the morning alarm. Everyone needs USB ports these days for phones & laptops. It's easy to replace the existing double sockets either side of the bed....that would be perfect. Bathroom door doesn't close - which is preferable if sharing the room. It needs planing as door is too big for frame.

The b&b was in good location very clean and warm. The room was good value for money and what we needed. Couldn't hear any traffic or trains, considering it was by the train station and a main road. Takeaway breakfast was a new idea that I thought was good.

Proximity to station. Ease of checking in. Friendly staff. Nice big room with lovely touches.

Nothing - particularly for the price.
