Bon Maison Guest House

The staff was great. We ran into a slight issue upon check in, but the host was very responsive and worked with us on a solution. It was the perfect spot—central but still quiet.

It's a cool, quaint old courtyard compound, right on Bourbon Street, just far enough from Canal Street to be out of the main boisterousness. Old New Orleans charm, and just enough modernization to make it comfortable. Also, the walls are thick masonry and block out all the street noise -- the only time we heard anything at all was when a brass band passed, blaring their hearts out (and we didn't mind, because the band was really good).

There's no on-site parking, though street parking is free after 7:00 PM if you can find a space (very iffy, especially in prime tourist season).

I loved the historic bits of the property the best - especially the exposed brick in the room, the old balcony, decorative brickwork and beautiful, quaint garden. The property also had my favorite modern comforts - namely the super comfortable bed, hot water and air conditioning. The location was amazing - surprisingly very quiet given the vibrant neighborhood. The owners were also very helpful when we decided to extend our stay. Would absolutely recommend and would love to stay again!

Love this place: was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The location was perfect : close to everything, but with a secure and secluded feel in the courtyard and room. Staff was responsive to all questions and concerns, even when I locked my keys in the room.

The hotel was so nasty . The cleaning lady had long nails and acted like cleaning was a death sentence. Sent tons photos to owner who said they did not know the hotel was falling apart. Nasty does not describe this place. Spider website all-over place windows ypu could not see thru the dirt. Had a rat the size nurf foot ball. And the sewer smell just was rank. Owner said they would refund a night..refund never can.
