Bon Maison Guest House

Location, sufficient kitchenette, ease of access, quality of limited staff.

Parking is a challenge.

Great location, ambiance, comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. Across the street from the iconic Clover Grill and LaFittes in Exile, this is a fun, yet quieter part of Bourbon Street and one of my fave neighborhood areas. We stayed in room E, overlooking the quaint courtyard/garden, very quiet and shutters we closed at night were perfect for keeping out light. Comfy bed too for 2 kinda big peeps like us (I'm 5'9", hubby is 6'6"!) Great value for location. Definitely recommend Bon Maison.

New Orleans French Quarter infrastructure, sidewalks, buildings, etc are old. I have a hinky right knee, so If you have any mobility issues, would suggest booking a room on the bottom floor of Bon Maison as there is no elevator and stairs can be a challenge.

The Bon Maison House was very nice, very comfortable and beautiful. We loved the little courtyard and found it to be a peaceful little resting spot in between our busy agenda. The beds were comfy, we especially liked the balcony area offered by the penthouse. We liked to sit outside and admire the view of Bourbon St. The host was also easily reachable and very amiable when answering my questions. We would definitely stay again, especially since the location was perfect. Everything in the French Quarter was walkable distance and it was great being in Bourbon St and not having to worry about getting an Uber/cab after a long night. It was also quiet within the residence itself (as quiet as can be when situated right on Bourbon St XD). We had a very comfortable stay.

Honestly, did not have many complaints at all! Only thing would be that maybe we felt a little unsafe with the railing leading up the stairs to the penthouse. Could be a little treacherous when walking in heels haha.

We had only 2 sets of towels for 7days. The room was dirty. I took pictures, I couldn’t believe it. There was no one there to help. The TV didn’t work properly for the first 3 days

Great location, plenty of room (which is not normal for six people together), nice beds, good air, sound machines were a nice surprise. Communication was FAST about unit and area.

2 parents and 4 kids booked the penthouse and it was an awesome spot for us! Close enough to the action, but still away from the action that we weren’t up all night. The sound machines in the room were a perfect touch and those beds were super comfy. The one room by the courtyard was great for our light sleepers. The communication with the staff at check in was great and they responded immediately to our messages. The location is amazing so we were able to experience all of the restaurants and sites on foot. It’s on the third floor, but we had no problem climbing the stairs multiple times a day. Plenty of space for us to spread out and the kitchenette had the basics plus coffee so that was nice. The bathroom was clean and was well stocked with toilet paper and towels which was appreciated. The balcony is such a fun spot, but I do worry about it structurally so it made us parents nervous. For people who come in cars- parking was easy, about a ten minute walk and $55 a day.

The carpet is really thick and dense so I think they need to upgrade their vacuum because that needs improvement. Using an attachment where it meets the wall would help a lot . Rugs under beds need a good cleaning too. I understand the parking situation, but just wish they had one spot where we could unload and load. That was a little hectic. Also it didn’t matter to us, but one room doesn’t have a door so that may be helpful to know if you’re traveling with only adults.
