Located in the heart of Church Stretton - easy to find, and to access the property. Keys to come and go as you please. Almost directly opposite The King's Arms, the better of the two pubs for an evening meal. Quaint décor throughout the property. Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Plenty of electrical sockets. WiFi adequate. Excellent breakfast. I paid more than I usually would for overnight accommodation in Shropshire, but its central location, comfort and splendid breakfast make Victoria House good value. Recommended - I would stay here again. Thanks to Sarah and her colleagues, who work hard to make this a nice place.

Breakfast starts at 8.30 - not a problem for me, but that might be a little late for any walkers who want an early start.

Staff were great especially Sarah who signed us in and out and served delicious breakfasts. Quirky and very enjoyable decorated bedroom and ensuite. The latter has hand painted toucan and parrot on walls above tiled level. There is a cafe at the property open to the public: it is pretty busy and well patronised by local people which added to sense of feeling at home in Church Stretton

We were there on cold windy days so the room was a little cold so we put on the cosy bathrobes provided

Lovely period style decoration and very comfortable bed and pillows.

I travelled with work and really would have benefited from a desk in my room. Unfortunately, the room overlooked a church, and the church bells chimed every 15 minutes, including throughout the night, which kept me awake for hours. Had this been obvious on the website, I would not have chosen to stay, given an important meeting the following morning. Apparently the quarter-hour chimes are created automatically by the clock mechanism

The staff were so helpful and friendly, there was a great choice for breakfast and the house is beautiful. Location is excellent, in the middle of town and a short walk from the station.

Location is excellent for walking. There is also a good selection of places to eat in Church Stretton. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also dog friendly and he was also made to feel very welcome.
